I graduated from Tougaloo College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science in 1992. I graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2002 with a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and American College of Education in 2009 with a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership. I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and a Life Member of the National Alumni Association of Tougaloo College.
I began my teaching career in 1992 at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT. I was a high school mathematics teacher at George Westinghouse Career Academy High School and Frederick Douglass Academy High School for ten years. I also served as as a High School Transformation Mathematics Coach and Diplomas Now Coach for six years.
I am the mother of two children and a wife of twenty three years.
