Halloween Costume Guidelines: October 29, 2018

Students who choose to wear costumes on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, are to adhere to the following guidelines:

Must check-in at arrival time with the Costume Committee Table for a Costume Bracelet

May be in Costume or be in Uniform (Halloween T-shirts allowed w uniform bottoms-no exceptions)

1. No masks, face-coverings, hoods or items concealing your face may be worn. Students must be able to be identified. Head coverings must be appropriate to the costume.

2. No costumes that identify with race, gender or religious hate groups.

 3. Inappropriate costumes would include extremely short skirts/shorts, revealing clothing, tops; students dressed as clergy or dressing as a member of a hate group or gang; sexually explicit, violent in nature or anything related to any of the above.

4. Any make-up, face painting, beards, mustaches, teeth, eyeglasses that are worn cannot cover your identity. You must be easily identified. Wear ID at all times.

5. Costume accessories cannot include any item that could be viewed as a weapon. Some examples would include: guns, knives, sickles, baseball bats, bullet belts, Chains, etc. These and other accessories of this kind are inappropriate and prohibited.

7. Have fun and be creative! The wearing of costumes is a privilege that can be revoked.

8. If in doubt about your costume, please bring your uniform. Our hope is that we will not have to hold any disciplinary conferences regarding inappropriate costumes.
