LSC Elections Are Less Than One Week Away!

LSC Elections will be held during the first quarter parent-teacher conference days this fall. The dates are November 18 for elementary schools and November 19 for high schools. In an effort to prioritize the health and safety of our families and staff members, we adjusted the format to include a mail-in option. We encourage parents and staff to vote by mail whenever possible, and if you must vote in-person, to abide by the health protocols we’ve put in place, including social distancing, face-covering requirements, a health screener to be completed prior to arriving at any and all schools/sites visited, and a temperature check upon entering school buildings. To be considered valid, the health screener must be completed no earlier than 6am on the date of the proposed entry.

Polls open at 7am and close at 7pm, and all mail-in ballots must be postmarked on the date of the elections and received no later than November 30th. Votes will be held in a safe at the school until December 1st, when Judges will return to verify and certify each vote. To find out which schools you can vote at as a community member, use our updated 2020 LSC Elections Map.

All general COVID-19 pandemic safety guidance applies to in-person voting:

  • Hands: Wash them
  • Face: Don’t touch it
  • Wear cloth face coverings at all times
  • Observe social distancing (six feet)
  • If you are sick, stay home
  • If you are a direct contact of a known case, you must quarantine for 14 days
  • If awaiting test results, stay home
  • If you have traveled to a place on CDPH’s Emergency Travel Order, you must quarantine for 14 days
